people who buy protective cases baffle me. in an effort to keep their beautiful iphone scratch free, they use an ugly protective shell to hide the very surface they are trying to keep pristine and enjoyable. it makes more sense to me to buy a case after your iphone has gotten all scratched up and over the hill.
this also goes for people who buy car bras to keep their car rock chip free and especially goes for people who leave the product stickers and protective films on their appliances. no i don’t need to be reminded that my LCD is energy star compliant, thank you very much.

]]>also, let me just preface this post by saying that there’s nothing else worse in the world than being disappointed when you’re 99% there. this goes out to all you people who ever experienced being rejected when you were so sure you had it going your way. in the famous words of daniel powter, “you’ve had a bad day”
it’s like going to the toy store for xmas, because your parents finally agree to buy you the toy that what you wanted all year. and then you run to the shelf where it’s supposed to be and it’s sold out. and think, no, it can’t be, and you look around to see if it’s misplaced. and you ask the store to call other stores. and then finally there’s nothing left that you can do, except give up. and then you feel the tears of the cruel cruel world swell up against you and you can’t hold them back any longer, and just give in and let your sorrows wash your will-less soul away, down into the waterfall of despair.
point is, it’s way worst to be disappointed at 99% than it is to be from the start. maybe the pessimists are onto something here.
